Dreams of a destination wedding brought Marta, a medical resident,  her lovely mother Marianne and her very dear friend Lindsey from Massachusetts into my makeup chair a few weeks ago. This was another fabulous Pelican Grand Resort event, but unlike any other I have done there. Why, you ask? Because  the Ft. Lauderdale Air and Sea Show was this particular weekend.

So, due to the inconvenient closing of  the main access roads leading to the hotel because of the air show, the bridal  party and the photographer ran about an hour late.  So, what did I do while waiting for them to arrive? Enjoyed the show from the amazing eleventh floor terrace, of course!  You’ll see the show and the amazing view in the last three photos.

I just knew that these photos would be amazing…  Alan Wilco  is a master of the art of photography!

Carolyn chose to get ready and take photos at the lovely Boca Raton Resort & Club, and then have her ceremony and reception at my favorite Boca synagogue.  Most of the family and friends came in from New York and Texas, but Carolyn was extremely lucky to have her parents here in Florida to help with all the planning. I was really busy with seven ladies to makeup, but it was impossible to miss the amazing bond between the bride and her mom. Instinctively, her mother always knew what Carolyn needed or was thinking, and quick as a bunny she was there to oblige. I can only hope that I will be as in tune to my daughter on her wedding day. What a connection they share!Here are some shots from the day, but I can’t wait to see Alan Wilco’s  photographs…  he is soooo talented!
