Attention Brazil… BraBox Is Coming!

December 29th, 2010

I got to work at a really nice studio in Ft. Lauderdale a few weeks ago, Canvas Films.  I have shot there a few times before, and always love how clean, sleek and organized the facilities are. An added bonus was that I ran into two people I worked with back when I was first starting my makeup career. The first was Phillip Ruesch. Turns out he is an owner of the studio! It was great to see him and catch up on some  of the people from the  long gone Channel One Video. The second was cinematographer Norton Rodriguez, who I shot a movie called “Peace Town”  with back in 1993. It really is a small world, and an even smaller industry.

This was my first time working with Neil and his N2 Production Group, and they were great. The product was  BraBox, a new service for sending packages from the US to Brazil.  The look of the commercials was similar to the Mac vs. PC commercials, minimal talent and props shot against a white screen. The dialogue was in Portuguese so I wasn’t sure , but based on the talents’ laughter I imagine that they were pretty funny.  Here are some pics…
