Cassie’s Bat Mitzvah

December 13th, 2009

I have beeen very fortunate  that a lot of my clients find me via “word of mouth” advertising. Case in point, Miss Cassie and her Mom, who are very good friends with Allie and her mom (see Allie’s Dazzling Denim Bat Mitzvah Celebration). After they saw the makeup at Allie’s party they called me the very next day to book me for Cassie’s Bat Mitzvah.

There is so much personality packed into these two fashionistas that I could not help but have fun. I met with them first on Thursday to do the makeup for their photos at the synagogue. I have never met a mom who had so many back up choices (all beautiful!) to wear for the event.  She had an outfit for every contingency! She reminded me of one of The Housewives of OC, and that was the makeup look she wanted to go for.  Her amazing snakeskin outfit was in earth-tones, so I kept her eyes in the same tones, and gave her lips the nude treatment with Touch Indelible Lip Liner, Honeymoon Lipstick  and of course Veil Lipgloss, which looks fabulous on every golden girl. Cassie LOVES pink, so I kept her makeup soft but definitely pink, using  Child Bride blush  topped with Floral Shimmer Bouquet in Rose Petals Glow. And on her lips was her favorite lipgloss Blush.

I went back on Saturday for Cassie’s big party. After her mom made a few wardrobe changes, we came up with a stronger version of the same  makeup look, and added a pair of my favorite strip lashes. I strengthened Cassie’s look a bit too, and added Coal Indelible Eye Liner Pencil  to her lashline. On her ever smiling lips I used “The Blushing Bride” Lipstick with “Blush” Lipgloss.
