From High School To Runway In Four Hours

March 2nd, 2010

On Sunday I was at LIV nightclub at The Fountainbleu Hotel  to do the makeup for a fashion show sponsored by the National Council of Jewish Women Teens Club. You can read all about it here.

There were 17 adorable teen models, 11 girls and 6 boys. Thanks to my dear friend Hedy Sayet, the boys were bronzed to perfection and took to wearing makeup like true professionals (actually more like typical 16 year old boys!)

Between 1:30 PM and 5:3o PM I transformed 11 girls from students walking down the school halls to models walking down the runway. They had obviously been watching both America’s Next Top Model and Project Runway because they were strutting around in their five inch heels so gracefully, a feat that I have never mastered. As The Blushing Bride Cosmetics®  was a sponsor of the event all of the models were made up using their products. The stunning designer wardrobe was provided by several boutiques in the hotel. It was a wonderful, if exhausting time and I was thrilled to meet and work with these truely amazing teens who raised approximately $60,000 for their charities.
